7 Years Old Girl Defiled/Raped By One Mr. Wisdom (26 years old)

By Comrade Israel Joe

One Mr. Wisdom whose picture appeared here has allegedly defiled and brutally raped a 7 years old girl (Bella) in Abraka on the 26th of October, 2020 (3 weeks ago). This incident occurred at the heat of our #EndSARS protest and all efforts to get the police in Abraka to arrest, investigate and prosecute the suspect proved abortive until his sudden disappearance from Abraka. The police kept telling us we are protesting against them and we should investigate the matter ourselves.

The DCO has tenaciously stood unwilling to investigate even after the police report and several complains from the child’s parents and us (human rights activists). Mr. Wisdom has longed run away from Abraka when he discovered that the parents had to report the matter to the youths, at the instance of the police, not ready to do their job. He wounded the little girl callously and I doubt from his actions if he was not devil himself because even a matured lady would not be callously raped this way.

We are saddened by the recent unwillingness by the police in Nigeria to carry out criminal investigations even on matters that touched the very soul of our society. While the police hierarchy (State Command) is doing their very best to ensure the protection of Nigeria, most police in divisions, knowing that extortion would no longer be tolerated, has refused to do the very job, for which they are paid.

I hereby call on the Delta State Commissioner of Police (CP) Hafiz Mohammed to give a marching order to the Abraka Division to fish out this pedophile on the run. It is important to state that the family of the little girl is ready to resort to self-help since the police refused to help. I hope the same police would not suddenly appear to investigate the family should they search for Wisdom and carry out a jungle justice? A stitch in time saves nine.
