By Activist Israel O. Joe on behalf of #EndSARS conveners and Chairman of CDHR Delta State Chapter, Elder Comrade Peter Edariese.
The Statement reads: “The #EndSARS Delta State wishes to distanced itself from a purported press release carried out by one Mr. Prince KehindeTaiga calling for another protest of #ENDSARS in Delta State.
In a press release by Mr. Taiga, he told the police that himself and his group are willing to hit the street in another protest as soon as possible.
It is important to state that during the October EndSARS protest, That erupted and crippled the country economy and security structure, this said Mr. Taiga never sacrificed a minute by coming out in solidarity to support the struggle but only seeking for relevance through the victory we have derived in the success of that protest.
Mr. Kehinde Taiga who has since been expelled from the committee for the Defence of Human Rights (CDHR) due to his alleged illegal activities which almost brought the name of the foremost organization into disrepute now superintend over a faction claiming to be the acting president of the organization.
The organization has longed distance themselves from the menace and unprofessional conduct of Mr. Taiga.
However, we want to call on the police authorities to tackle the incessant extortion, victimization, brutality and unnecessary raiding by some of her officers including the Sapele DPO CSP Harrison, Abraka DPO CSP Aliyu Shaba, B Division Warri DPO CSP Ari Umar, and others whose unprofessional actions are capable to steering anger and protest against the sagacious image of the Delta State Commissioner of Police CP Ali Muhammed Ari.
We want to also applaud the Delta State Commissioner Of Police CP Ali Muhammad Ari, for his professional conduct over the dismissal of the two Policemen Sergeant Ndubisi Abazie and Sergeant Felix Ebikabuwe who where formerly attached to ‘B’ Division Warri before their dismissal, for assaulting and brutalizing Mr. Broderick Omesa a Tricycle rider in Warri.
This will serve as a lesson to other unprofessional police officers in the State.
