BREAKING NEWS: DELTA STATE POLICE COMMAND PLACES BAN ON INDISCRIMINATE AND UNAUTHORISED USE OF SIREN, REVOLVING LIGHT, VEHICLES WITH TINTED GLASSES, COVERING OF VEHICLE PLATE NUMBER AND USE OF GOVERNMENT PLATE NUMBERS FOR PRIVATE, AND UNAUTHORISED VEHICLES

The Commissioner Of Police Delta State Command, CP Ari Muhammed Ali FCIA, PSC+ sequel to the prevailing security situation in the command and in a bid to serve the good people of the state better and reduce crime to the barest minimum, have placed ban on the indiscriminate and unauthorised use of siren, vehicles with tinted glasses, covering of vehicles plate numbers, illegal SPY plate numbers, and revolving light by unauthorised persons and using of Government plate numbers for private and unauthorised vehicles in line with existing laws prohibiting the use of vehicles with tinted permits.

Reference to ( MOTOR VEHICLE PROHIBITION OF TINTED GLASS) Act Cap M21 Sec 1 sub Sec. A. laws of Federation of Nigeria which is very relevant till date.

Officers of the Command on patrol duties have been given matching order to stop and thoroughly check these vehicles and impound any of them that violets these laws.

Those operating Vehicles with factory fitted tinted glasses with permit for a good cause, must be able to show proof.
