Hoodlums Attack and Abducts Police in Ogun.

It was around 09:30am on December 3, 2020 that the Baale of Aba-Tuntun, Ijebu-Igbo visited Ijebu-Igbo police station to intimate the police regarding certain people within his domain, alleged to be in possession different types of guns, and using them for illegal businesses.

As the police acted swiftly on the intel gathered, together with 35 vigilante personnels, and recovered six single-barrel guns, together with fifteen cartridges, they were ambushed by the villagers and severely mobbed on their way back from the operation.

Two Ak-47 rifles, one teargas, money, one pump action, and other properties yet to be identified were carted away by the culprits.

Some Police officers sustained bullet injuries, while five others were kidnapped.

Efforts were intensified and four kidnapped officers were later rescued.

Investigation is ongoing, while Police Constable Gene Emmanuel, who joined the Police Force in 2018 is yet to be released from the grip of these bandits.
