Newly Recruited Police Constables Laments over Non-payment of 6 Months Salary.
Nigeria of today, is not compared to the experience of working life yesterday and even 10 years ago. The hardest moments of life, is lacking something to eat for survival.
It was recently protested against SARS brutality and bad governance by young Nigerians which was later turned out to violence. It is obvious, that the earlier protest was actually geared towards presenting the needs of many Nigerians who may not openly expressed there own hearts to the government or organization where they work, as Police is one. Police force is a regimented organization, that is known for protecting Life and property of all citizens.
Evidently, a viral pictures of Protester was recently going Viral on social media groups about the newly passed out Constables who have worked with the force for over 6 months today, without salaries.
In fact, the writer decided to hide the group Post. A Constable took to one of there group, and posted, lamenting over lack of payment of salary and even compared the month of their passing out with that of recruited privates of the Nigeria Army but have received their salaries for long and he was asking why the Differences in the Nigeria police?
It will interest you to know that some of the bad behaviors with officers of the Police Force may not be their fault. It could be rooted over lack of payment of salaries, lack of allowance, poor Pension and gratuity that some of them may decide to invest through extortion before they retired from service and that has caused menace to our society and there family lives.
I Appeal to our government, this people are those who watches over lives, they deserves good treatment and better welfare. Not a surprise, if this group of people can be posted on Patrol points, you can imagine the massive amount of money they will extort from people and even involved everything they have to make sure they have something to cater for a living. The inspector General of Police and Police service Commission should look into this matter and helped this Young officers who were recruited to protect life and property.
The Commission threaten to dismissed officers who refused to report back to their Duty post, what did they say about the salaries of over 8 thousands youths?
