SECURITY: Fight Against Insecurity, Gets More Bite As Warri South Council Donates Vehicles To Police

Efforts to improve the security situation in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State, received a major boost Friday September 3, when the Executive Council of Warri South Local Government, donated two Toyota Sienna Buses to the Police at ‘A’ and ‘B’ Divisions in Warri.

Presenting the vehicles at the Warri South Council Main Secretariat in Warri, Chairman of Warri South Local Government, Dr. Michael Tidi , expressed optimism that the buses will go a long way in the fight against insecurity in the area.

THE NATIONS EXPRESS can report that Dr. Tidi, who was flanked by Secretary to the Local Government, Mr. Joseph Oribioye, Supervisors in the Council, Warri South Council Head of Personnel Management, Dr. (Mrs.) Minnie Igbrude, Treasurer to the Local Government, Ugborugbo Moses and other key officers of the Council, made the presentation shortly after a security meeting held at the Council Main Secretariat.

The DPO of Nigeria Police ‘B’ Division, Warri, CSP Onana Umaru, who responded on behalf of himself and his ‘A’ Division counterpart, CSP T.Y. Mahmud, appreciated the gesture of the Dr. Tidi administration and assured that the vehicles, “would be judiciously used for the purpose it was meant”.
